After graduating, each and every student awaits for his degree! The black coat, the graduation cap and the photograph with the proof of accomplishment are all enough to bring happy tears in the eyes! Year long wait to hold the degree, nostalgia after visiting the campus and desire to meet the old friends are all fulfilled by a grand convocation ceremony!
So, AVCOE is pleased to inform all its students that we will be having the 110th Convocation Ceremony on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 9.00 a.m.
The convocation ceremony will take place in the eminent presence of Hon’ble Shri Balasaheb Thorat along with:
- Chief Guest: Dr. K. P. Viswanatha, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri.
- Guest of Honor: Hon’ble Cr. Suhir Tambe
- Special Invitee: Mr. Nilesh Nagarkar, Vice President, Barclays and Ms. Sujata Kolekar, Associate Director, Cognizant

The following are the instructions pertaining to your participation in the Convocation Ceremony:
ON OR BEFORE CONVOCATION DAY
A. CLEARANCE: Each graduate must clear with the respective Department upon which he/she should receive a clearance certificate from the College Registrar, if he or she does not owe any money to the College and pay a compulsory Convocation fees. Only those graduates who will have completed paying the fees due to the College by Monday, January 30, 2017 at 9.00 a.m will be allowed to the function.
B. HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC DRESS: The academic dress will be available for hire on Monday, January 30, 2017 from the Store In charge at a fees of Rs. 400 per set (Out of which Rs. 300 will taken as Security Deposit and will be refunded after the function on the produce of the original receipt).
C. REHEARSAL
(i) The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony.
(ii) All Graduates intending to participate in the Ceremony must attend the Rehearsal on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 10.00 a.m. at their respective dept. And contact the concerned HOD.
(iii) Movement and Photography by graduates during the rehearsal is prohibited.
D. DRESS FOR BOTH REHEARSAL AND CONVOCATION: All graduates must be in full Academic dress.
E. SEATING ARRANGEMENTS: Seats for all the graduates are arranged and reserved. Proceed to your seat at the designated time and occupy it throughout the Convocation Ceremony.
ON CONVOCATION DAY
A. PUNCTUALITY: Punctuality is essential for all Graduates and parents. Any graduate or guest who does not arrive at the Dronagiri Conference Hall on time will not be allowed to participate in the Ceremony.
B. TIME: Graduates and their parents are required to take their seats between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. No person shall be allowed into or out of the Dronagiri Conference Hall thereafter until the end of the Ceremony.
C. CONDUCT DURING THE CEREMONY
(i) Convocation is a solemn event and must be appreciated with all the seriousness attached to it. Silence must be maintained throughout the Ceremony.
(ii) Movement and photography by graduates and guests are prohibited during the Ceremony. Everyone remains seated unless instructed otherwise.
(iii) Each graduate must stand when his/her name is read by the respective Dean/Director from the graduation list.
(iv) Weather: Graduates and guests are advised to bring umbrellas and sun coats should the weather be unfavorable.
PARKING AND ENTRY
(i) Vehicles for graduates and guests must be parked at Parking Court under the direction of the Security Personnel at Left Hand Side of the Main Gate of the Institute. Parking is prohibited at the Main Gate of Engineering College.
(ii) Graduates and guests are required to proceed on foot along the pavement to the Amrut Kalamanch through the Gate of on the Side of Student Section/General Office.
AFTER CONVOCATION
A. RETURN OF HIRED ACADEMIC DRESS: All hired items must be returned not later than Monday January 30, 2017 up to 4:00 pm otherwise a surcharge of Rs. 50/- per day will be levied on all items not returned by that date and time.
B. CERTIFICATES
(i) The names on the degree certificate will appear as they are in the Student Management Information System (SMIS) in the order of First name, Middle name and Surname.
(ii) Discrepancies found if any related to the details of the students on the certificate, which will be forwarded to the university through the student section.
(ii) Degree Certificates must be safely kept.
C. LAST DATE FOR COLLECTION OF THE CERTIFICATE COLLEGE: Every graduate must collect his/her certificate by Saturday February 04, 2017 up to 1:00 p.m.
NOTE: Any certificate not collected by this date will be returned to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and No further correspondence regarding this will entertained.
