It’s never too early to start-up: Meet two of India’s youngest app developers!

Sanjay and Shravan Kumaran are two brothers who developed their first app at just ages 11 and 12 years old respectively! They have developed over 11 apps for both iOS and Android along with apps for Windows. They learned programming by buying books to study and solving the problems in the books and soon after began coding apps. They have also invented a virtual reality gadget called GoVR and priced it at less than ¼ of the market price for other VR devices.

Their only business expenses are gadgets and their biggest and only investor is their father, Kumaran Surendran.

Kumaran Surendran is the Associate Vice President at Cognizant Technology Solutions and is their biggest support. They pitch their ideas to him and he goes ahead any purchases all the necessary technology they may need for it. Their first app was ‘Catch me Cop’ on iOS, a game that entails capturing a prisoner who has escaped. They developed several other apps such as ‘Colour Palette’, Alphabets Board’, ‘Hero Jetpack’, ‘Prayer Planet’, ‘Car Racing’ and ‘Emergency Booth’ which is an emergency dialer app.

They are extremely excited about their future and gloat about the support they have from their parents. They aim to break out of the societal structure and norms and pave a new path for future generations to follow. Their main goal is for 50% of the world’s smartphones to have their apps downloaded in them.
